Pack Stations
One of the most unique adventures a family can experience is a backcountry overnight pack trip. Imagine riding into the an enchanting forest filled with breathtaking views, clean fresh air and the sounds of the winds and birds all around you.
Arriving at your destination, your camp is set up, your guide prepares while you try you hand at fishing or whatever you may like to do with your leisure time.
Depending upon your agreement with the pack outift, you may move camp every day of your trip or you may spend multiple days at one or two locations. In any case, this will be an experience of a lifetime.
There are several pack outfits that can accommodate you. They are listed at the bottom of this page.
They all operate in the Shaver Basin, which is situated halfway between Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks and features trails with an elevation range from 5,000 feet to 10,000 feet.
This outdoor recreational paradise is filled with a variety of trailheads that lead to a pristine wilderness. There are over 200 lakes, the San Joaquin River and many large creeks waiting to be explored. So plan to get away for awhile. Find an outfit and enjoy an extended backcountry stay.
The Ansel Adams, John Muir, Kaiser and Dinkey Lakes Wilderness are among the terrain that you may travel through.or on into Kings Canyon National Park. So take a day and enjoy a scenic ride. It will be one of those experiences that you will never forget
