PLEDGED TO: “Promote Business, Tourism and Responsible Recreation to Benefit Our Communities.”

The mission of the Greater Shaver Lake Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau (GSLCVB) is to unite business interests, to involve the entire Eastern Fresno County communities in enhancing the area’s overall economic health, showcase investment opportunities and promote tourism in the foothill-mountain region.

In keeping with this Mission Statement, the GSLCVB will work closely with regional businesses, government entities, museums, attractions, visitors, and residents.

Goals

The GSLCVB will provide marketing support for regional activities that attract visitors to Eastern Fresno County communities. All activities must reflect positively on the region.

The GSLCVB will maintain a website that features where visitors can Come, Play, Stay and Invest in Our Big Backyard. Information needed to facilitate a good visitor experience and potential investment opportunities are the top priorities.

The GSLCVB will use the website, social media and telephone service to inform the public of what is happening in the region.

The GSLCVB will work with the Museum of the Sierra to establish a Visitor Information Center in their building. We will encourage regional businesses to provide marketing material in this space to promote their establishments for visitor information.

The GSLCVB will provide selected publications to promote tourism to the region.
